How do I add the widget to my home screen?

1. Long-press on your home screen until the apps start jiggling
2. Tap the "+" button in the top left corner
3. Search for "Tippr" in the widget gallery
4. Select the large widget size
5. Tap "Add Widget" and place it where you want

How do I change the tip percentage?

You can either:

• Tap one of the preset buttons (15%, 18%, 20%, etc.)
• Use the slider to adjust to any percentage between 0-100%

How do I enter a fixed dollar tip instead of a percentage?

Tap the "Custom $" toggle at the top of the tip section, then tap on the tip amount to enter your fixed tip using the numpad.

How do I customize the tip presets?

Long-press on any preset button to edit it. You can change it to any percentage or fixed dollar amount you prefer.

Can I copy the calculated amounts?

Yes! Long-press on the bill, tip, or total to bring up the copy option.

Can I use the widget without opening the app?

Absolutely! The widget has a full numpad so you can enter your bill and calculate tips directly from your home screen.

Why does the widget show a different theme than the app?

Themes sync automatically between the app and widget. If they're out of sync, try opening the app and selecting your theme again, or change the theme in the widget settings (long-press the widget > Edit Widget).

How do I change the color theme?

Tap the palette icon in the top right corner of the app to open the theme picker. Your selection syncs automatically to the widget.

What themes are available?

Tippr includes 9 themes:

• Default (follows system)
• Mint (green)
• Ocean (blue)
• Lavender (purple)
• Sunset (orange)
• Rose (pink)
• Teal
• Blush
• Graphite (grayscale)

Does the theme work with dark mode?

Yes! All themes support both light and dark mode and will adapt to your system settings.

Does Tippr collect my data?

Nope. Tippr doesn't collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device.

Does the app need an internet connection?

No. Tippr works completely offline.

What happens to my data if I delete the app?

All your data (presets, theme preferences) is deleted when you uninstall the app.

The app isn't calculating correctly

Make sure you've entered the bill amount correctly. The tip is calculated based on what you see in the "Bill" field.

My custom presets disappeared

Presets are stored locally on your device. If you reinstalled the app or restored your phone without a backup, you'll need to set them up again.

The widget isn't updating

Try these steps:

1. Open the Tippr app
2. Make a small change (enter a number, then delete it)
3. The widget should refresh

If that doesn't work, try removing and re-adding the widget.
