Formy ("we", "us", or "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the Formy Chrome Extension.

We collect and store the information you explicitly save through the extension, such as:

• Business details (Job Title, Company, etc.)
• Custom field data

Storage: All such data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's Local Storage API (chrome.storage.local). We do not maintain any external servers, databases, or cloud storage to hold your personal information.

2. Data Usage

Your data is used strictly for the purpose of:

• Autofilling Forms: Injecting your saved information into web forms at your request.
• Form Analysis: Analyzing web pages to identify form fields and suggest relevant data.

3. Artificial Intelligence and Processing

Formy uses on-device Artificial Intelligence (specifically, Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano model or similar local browser capabilities) to:

• Understand the context of forms (e.g., distinguishing between a login form and a registration form).
• Map your saved data to complex form fields.

Privacy Guarantee:

• All AI processing happens locally within your browser.
• Your form data and saved information are NOT sent to Google, OpenAI, or any third-party server for analysis in the production version of this extension.

4. Permissions

To function, Formy requires the following permissions:

• storage: To save your preferences and form data locally.
• activeTab & scripting: To detect forms and fill them on the pages you visit.
• host_permissions (limited): strictly for necessary browser operations; no data is exfiltrated.

5. Third-Party Services

Formy does not share, sell, or rent your data to third parties. We do not use third-party analytics services that track your browsing history.

6. Data Control and Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• View/Edit: You can view and edit your saved data at any time via the extension's settings.
• Delete: You can delete specific data points or clear all data through the extension.
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the Formy extension will remove all locally stored data associated with it.
